Hody was selected as one of the fourteen contestants during cycle 6, and she was the only one from Hong Kong. Hody's bubbly personality caught viewers' attention from before the season's premiere, however she only made it to the first challenge before getting sent home, along with Lena Saetiao.
Hody was eliminated following the first runway challenge, failing to make it to the Top 12 and into the house. She struggled to make a lasting impression on the judges, and as a result she was eliminated before the first official photoshoot.
